Japanese video game developer Bandai Namco has revealed more information about its $130-million Gundam metaverse project. Bandai Namco Reveals Details on Gundam Metaverse First hinted at early last month, Bandai Namco used its recent Third Gundam Conference to confirm the existence of its Gundam metaverse initiative, calling it a “platform of opportunities for Gundam fans worldwide to come together to converse and connect in a variety of categories.” Bandai Namco’s Gundam Metaverse will connect a series of different colonies and communities within the franchise where users will be able to purchase Gunpla kits within the virtual space. It integrates categories of the Gundam IP, such toys, anime, music, and games, as virtual “Colonies,” each offering its own services. The colonies will be connected through a space hub called “SIDE-G.” There are also plans to launch an esports community within the Metaverse in 2023. Since the development of the metaverse is still in its early stages, no exact launch date has been given by Bandai Namco, but the company hopes to have it up and running by 2025.The post Bandai Namco Announces Gundam Metaverse Project appeared first on Cryptoknowmics-Crypto News and Media Platform.
